About me

Hey my name is Jasmine and I am 21 years old attending UHWO to complete my bachelors degree in Early Education. Last year I was able to receive my Associates degree at Hcc in the Early Education program there. I am currently a full- time student while working two different jobs. My first job is being a sales associate at Macy's, working in the luggage department (if you need luggage let me know or don't its your choice lol) But besides working at Macy's I also work as a teachers aide at Honolulu Community Colleges children center, Kekei Ha'ouli Children center.

As you can see I spend a lot of my time working and at school my free time isn't really there. When I do have the time when I don't have to do homework or go to work I like to stay home and be with family or try to stay outside as much as possible, this means being at the beach that I have been so longly deprived from and go on hikes where I feel I could roll myself down the cliff and even going to the gym because I like working out surprisingly.

So looking at me I don't really look like that type of person to be so dangerously adventurous because I'm not. I have never left this island nor have I ever tried to do anything risky like jumping out of planes because I'm scared of heights. But besides my double life of daring things. Another thing is that from all those cool adventures there is food and I love food even if it mainly consists of sushi and acai bowls most of the time. When it comes to relaxing I love reading or just watching anime or Korean dramas. My exciting life..... (not so exciting but its good enough)

Above all there is nothing more important to me then my family, friends, and my children. Without them I wouldn't be where I am these people are my inspiration and I'm forever grateful for them. (:

  1. Hi Jasmine,

Wow, it sounds like you have a full plate with school and your jobs! It's okay to not be adventurous if that's not what you are into. You are lucky to be surrounded by your family and friends who love you, and as you said, inspire you. :)

I'm really curious to hear about your experiences working at the Honolulu Community College Children's Center - feel free to use this space to share about your work there. Since we will be talking about different curriculum models, I hope you will try to use your classroom experiences to apply the course's materials to your work. Please feel free to question the things you see in the classroom, the course materials, your classmates and me as well.

Thank you so much for sharing about yourself and welcome to the class!
